Resolved Question
Can I have an IVA and live work abroad?
Involuntary Agreement
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
That might depend. If you are going to be working on behalf of and paid by a company at home, it is possible your IVA repayments could be paid direct, and you simply receive the balance of your wages.
If you are planning to leave the country, can you make arrangements for your repayments to be made regularly? I looked up about IVAs, and found the agreement continues for five years, and is usually for debts of more than £20,000. If you do meet your payments, at the end of the five year period, the rest of your debt is written off, leaving you debt free.
So the real question is - how are you going to continue making those repayments? Get satisfactory answers to that, and your job abroad is within reach.
