How much does a foster carer get paid in the UK?

i believe it is about £90 per week for each child. I looked into fostering for a while. You also get an allowance to pay the child weekly pocket money, depending on the age of the child, plus extra payments for the childs birthday, at christmas, and a summer holiday payment. Obviously to provide the children with nice presents and a holiday and the usual extra's. It's not hugely profitable when you take into account the expenses of looking after the child/children, but i would imagine it to be highly rewarding and it is doing a great thing. I am not sure if your working family tax credit can go up for each child or if you can claim the child benefit for them if you are fostering. Good luck.
