Resolved Question
Should i cash all my money in at once?
I am moving back to scotland and i have a same lump some of cash, 1000 euro.
Would it be cheaper to change the money in small amounts rather than in one big lot, or does it work out all the same.
Also, is the money in northern ireland the same as in scotland, can i spend it there. Its just the notes look different. I live in ireland.

That depends on the rate of exchange. If good then do it all at once. If bad find people going on holiday and work out a rate that benefits you both and cash it as they want it. I will have some if you like. The money is worth the same in all parts of the u.k. but sometimes you have to go to a bank to cash in scottish £ s as traders are suspicious of them Maybe same would apply the other way round although I have received Irish euros in Spain

- Well, you just have to keep an eye on the exchange rate trend.
Obviously, we all have to go at a certain rate, but if you hold onto a currency, and it goes down, sadness
If it goes up > happiness
Doing it in bits and peices will minimise risk, but I would just look at top price on the day and go for it.
