I think you are saying that sportsmen and bank managers (among others) are paid much more than they are worth. I agree.

Why are they paid so much? For different reasons. Some bank managers have been able to fix things to their advantage (I'm thinking of one who was in the news lately). Others may be on the board of directors where salaries and bonuses are decided, and can make sure that they themselves are nicely looked after. Sportsmen - it is about demand. Both from the outside - like football clubs bidding more and more to get a particular player, and from the inside - they themselves demanding more. Pop stars are in this last category too, as well as many others.

It's all about greed. And never quite understanding that enough is enough.

  • Here are a few reasons YOU are not getting high wages:

    - You can't capitalize the first letter of a sentence

    - You think banks have "mangers"

    - You've never heard of punctuation

    - it's not "to" high- it's TOO high

    - no one calls them "sportmen"

    Good enough, dumbshit?
